Kels Travels 2004
Sunday, 25 January 2004

yawn, i'm over drifting.

The whole 'I'm living day to day with no commitments' thing is really getting tiring. At some point I have to find the energy to get out of bed and make a decision or two!

Ps:yes i'm still spending the year travelling and yes I have a vauge idea of where I'm going and what I'll do (previously and probably over optimistically refered to as a plan)...... just lacking the ability to get off my arse and do it

***Prologue***
Ok, so I find myself in 2004... still mumbling vaguely about grand plans to travel the world - here's how it happened;

- mid November 2003 -
They say every journey starts with a single step... breaking with tradition i decided to leap. Left work and attempted to maintain the lifestyle to which i had become accustomed, without any form of income... lots of time spent day dreaming about exotic locations i can't afford to visit!

-late December 2003 -
Money runs out (well almost- i do have 26 bucks left in the bank!). i had no idea that making an effort not to be selfish at xmas would bankrupt me.... wheres all that positive karma???

-early January 2004 -
Jason takes me out to lunch - i tell him "i will starve before i touch my travel money" then try to chip in for the meal. He won't let me... :) i still have $26 in the bank!

-today (22 January 2004)-
26-18= 8 .... i now have $8 in the bank, one ISIC youth card, lots of lonely planet books (borrowed from the library of course, like 8 bucks will buy even one!) and a plan ...
